Mange, prie, aime : l’édition de Bali

The year was a milestone birthday—the big 50. Early in the year, I started planning a trip of a lifetime, one I had been contemplating for years.

I had been looking at a health and wellness trip to Bali through Gadventures for years. Since meeting my spouse, I have not done extensive solo trips in nine years. I have always dreamed about going to Asia, but the flight length was the deterrent.

We agreed early in our relationship that sometimes, I would be in a place where I could travel, and he could not, but he would support me in my efforts.

This year, I made that dream a reality; I booked my flights and made a deposit on the trip early in February. Since I was so close, adding a few days in Singapore only made sense.

As the month passed, I booked my hotel in Singapore and started researching the places I was about to visit. I had travelled with G in my thirties, visiting Costa Rica, Belize, Guatemala and Peru, but what would that experience be like if I was one of the older people on the trip.

On October 3rd, I started my adventure. Montreal to Vancouver, Vancouver to Seoul, Seoul to Bali. Twenty-two hours in the air and thirty hours of travelling, I arrived at my destination.

Little did I know I would find myself again in the next two weeks. Meet the most amazing people, experience spiritual enlightenment and devour the most delicious food.
